CBC/Radio-Canada recently invited Renewable Juneau and a 2020 AK Carbon Reduction Fund heat pump recipient to speak about the Fund, about heat pumps, and about climate concerns. CBC/Radio-Canada is Canada’s national public broadcaster and the creator and host of the ‘What on Earth’ podcast.
The CBC podcast webpage tells us that ‘What On Earth is on a mission to move and challenge you to think about climate change in new ways by hunting down climate solutions, kicking the tires on them, and injecting some hope. We step up to relieve you of the existential dread you might feel — because here’s the good news: you are part of the solution.’ Podcast host Laura Lynch ‘is best known for her award-winning work as a globe-trotting foreign correspondent and her political prowess from decades spent covering different governments, both in Canada and abroad.
Laura has also covered environmental issues around the globe, including stories of the destruction of a way of life in river delta towns in Pakistan, the increasing presence of baboons in and around Cape Town as they search for food out of their regular habitat, and a Danish island that’s become a model for carbon-free sustainable living.’
Laura spoke with ACRF project director Andy Romanoff as well as 2020 ACRF heat pump recipient Sharyn Augustine. Listen in!
